DOMAINE DE LÉRY WINES

OUR VINES

Our vines are on average 20 years old, some older and others recently replanted. The entire estate rests on a thick layer of Beauce limestone, covered on the one hand by clay-siliceous soil, and on the other hand by sandy-rocky soil with a tendency to loam at times. The first type of soil is mainly occupied by the red grape varieties Pinot noir, Gamay on a vast plateau, the second being favored by the white grape variety (Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Romorantin) on a north-west facing hillside.

The vinifications with temperature control are carried out in stainless steel tanks. At the end, the blends are chosen according to the taste qualities of each cuvée and the orientations of the appellation.

AOC CHEVERNY WHITE

80% Sauvignon, 20% Chardonnay, 12.5°

The liveliness and fruitiness of Sauvignon combined with the texture of Chardonnay.

This straw-yellow wine expresses a nose of citrus and exotic fruits with a hint of boxwood and white flowers. On the palate, grapefruit and passion fruit are enhanced by a nice acidity, and the chardonnay brings a little substance to the finish.

It is a very pleasant wine for an aperitif. It goes perfectly with seafood or fish, as well as a salad on the terrace. To be served at 8-10°C.

AOC CHEVERNY RED

80% Pinot Noir, 20% Gamay, 12.5°

Cheverny rouge - Domaine de Léry.jpg

The structure of Pinot Noir and the delicacy of Gamay.

Wine with a purple robe, it develops a nose of fresh red fruit (strawberry and cherry) tinged with spice. On the palate, we find the same flavors, underlined by a pleasant freshness and some well-integrated tannins.

This wine is a perfect companion on the terrace to go with a charcuterie board or grilled meats, but it also goes well with winter dishes or Sunday poultry.

AOC CHEVERNY ROSÉ

80% Piot Noir, 20% Gamay, 12.5°

Unusual combination for a rosé, pinot noir and gamay make a table wine  rosé.

This pale rosé expresses, on the nose, notes of wild strawberries and stone fruit. On the palate, there is a crunchy fruitiness supported by a nice tension, with some spicy notes at the end.

Ideal rosé to accompany a meal on the terrace and/or spicy. To be served at 8-10°C.
